If you are a PS Audio owner it’s important you register your new, or even older, PS product with us for several good reasons.
To do this, you must first register as a member on the PS Audio site. Even if you have registered as a member or owner on our site previously, you need to do it again because of the new site we launched (which didn’t keep your password). If you did register previously as an owner, then all your product information has been saved. Once logged in to the site, you can then go to your My PS page which will not be visible until you register so the website knows you.
Why should you register? First, on any new products you get an extended warranty. Second, you can choose to receive product and firmware update notifications when they are available. Third, if you need service on your product you can only receive that service if your product has been registered with us and lastly, if you decide to sell your equipment its resale value is much higher when your buyer gets to transfer registration and in so doing, be assured the PS product was a genuine authorized model and not a counterfeit version.
All new PS Audio products are shipped with a standard non-transferable warranty of 90 days from date of purchase that covers all service related issues. Local laws make preclude or supersede this warranty depending on your location.
If you register your new A stock product within the 90 day warranty period, we will extend your warranty to a full 3 year period from the date of purchase. B Stock inventory receives a 1 year extended warranty when you register that product.
New A or B stock products must be registered with their serial numbers as well as the name of the authorized PS Audio dealer you purchased it from. Only purchases from authorized PS Audio dealers are eligible for the extended warranty. If you purchased a new PS product from an unauthorized dealer that product is not eligible for the extended warranty under any condition. Feel free to contact PS Audio to verify your PS dealer is an authorized agent of PS Audio if you have any questions whatsoever.
New extended warranties are transferable to a new owner who may continue to enjoy the benefits of the warranty period that remains. Standard 90 day warranties are not transferable.
When you register on the PS site you have the choice to signup for product and firmware update notifications. These are simple email notifications that will be sent out to registered owners of the appropriate PS Products.
So, for example, we just announced the Mark II upgrade for the PWD. Had you signed up for the update notification service you would have been first to get a notification of the details of this new product upgrade. If you own a product like the Bridge, there are occasional firmware upgrades and these will be emailed out to you as well.
From time to time all products may require service. PS Products are quite long lived and many owners have been enjoying them for 30 plus years. If you own an older PS product you can receive service without registering the product but in that case you will not be able to track the product’s progress through the repair process nor wil you be able to receive the report on what we did to the product during its stay with us. These services are all available online for registered owners. ou may register any model or vintage PS product at any time.
Newer products that are still enjoying their warranty period, either the standard or the extended period will not be worked on unless the product has been registered. Registering your product helps us keep track of the product’s history and any common warranty issues that we can learn about to help others.
If you decide to sell your PS product, you can go to My PS and release its registration so it can then be registered by the new owner. My PS is only visible if you are logged into the PS site as a registered member.
The serial number of the unit tell the system when it was first purchased and what time remains on the extended warranty period. Your new purchaser can expect to enjoy the remainder of the extended warranty period once they take possession of the unit and register it. It is important that the new owners register the unit to take advantage of the warranty period that remains.
PS Audio is and always will be a community of like-minded people passionate about the high-end and music. It’s important we keep connected with our owners and you with us as long as you wish to remain a part of the PS Community.
The information we gather on products and our customers is always maintained with the greatest respect for your privacy and comfort. We do not send emails of any kind that are not asked for and we never share your information with anyone else. Period.
While we love to communicate as much as we can (heck, even daily if you signed up for Paul’s Posts) we also believe strongly in not bugging people. There’s nothing worse than getting mail or email when you weren’t expecting it. We simply don’t do that and would encourage other manufacturers to respect the privacy of their customers as well.
You can change your preferences at any time by going to My PS on the PS Audio website, or simply click on the easy unsubscribe link that accompanies every email we send you that you asked for.
Thanks for being part of our community.
